Beeftrak is compatible with your current inventory systems
Beeftrak subscribers access their account and herd information via the World Wide Web and a log-in on the Viewtrak.com site. The graphic user interface for data collection and entry is very similar to many standard paper record-keeping systems used within the beef cattle industry today. You can use optional handheld, laptop systems or preprinted Beeftrak worksheets to collect Beeftrak data in the field for later entry into the Viewtrak Technologies Inc. database.
Because animal identification tags include a machine-readable bar code, the Beeftrak system is fully compatible with processor and retailer inventory systems and the product identification guidelines set out by EAN International in Europe and the Uniform Code Council Inc. in North America.
Report generation from the Viewtrak.com site is literally a two or three keystroke procedure. Users can select from a suite of reports generated on their animal data. Aggregate reporting is also available on an organization or animal breed basis.
System Requirements
Access to the Viewtrak web site and the Beeftrak database requires only a web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer). Access to secure connection (for payment) requires a minimum security setting of 128-bit encryption. Access to the Viewtrak.com site has been tested on both dial-up and -speed ADSL Internet connections. Both will give satisfactory service, and uploading data and downloading reports will be faster on a high-speed connection.

RF-ID Tags and Handheld Computers
Viewtrak requires each animal to have a unique number. Animals must be tagged with both human-readable and machine-readable tags. Radio-frequency identification tags facilitate data collection and tracking and are compatible with handheld or laptop systems that will subsequently download data to your account.
