This
image is a screen shot captured from a DT-500 Terminal
used on the kill floor of a pork plant. Using the terminal's
touch screen capability or sensors detecting oncoming
carcasses, a graphical representation of each carcass
is placed on the screen.
Data
on each carcass is entered by an operator or via
a direct data connection to the DT-500 terminal.
As data is entered, the carcass on the screen changes
color. Information about each carcass is collected
and can be displayed at any time by touching a carcass
image on the screen.
All
the carcass data is available in real time for office
usage in any format (i.e. a Word document, a spreadsheet,
a database) and on any platform (i.e. Windows 98,
Windows NT, AS400) at any time. Management can access
the DT-500 system from any authorized remote location
either through an existing internal network or the
Internet.
